Numbers 16:19-40; The showdown between the rebellious Levites against Moses and Aaron takes place at the tent of meeting. The glory of Yahweh immediately appears and His jusdgement against the insurrectionists include the earth splitting apart to swallow the ringleaders and fire consuming the 250 disobedient Levites. The Israelite community flees in fright and shock at the LORD’s righteous judgement against rebellion.
